Rene Hinojosa grew up in rural South Texas, where he spent his early years running through his grandfather’s endless cotton fields, occasionally climbing onto the roof of the house to watch crop dusters zoom by. The dreams that began there went on to be fueled by some of the most influential sci-fi, action, and adventure films of all time. Rene’s fascination with novels, comics, and movies eventually led to a successful visual design and animation career. His profound love for storytelling led him to found Innovative Renderworx—a creative studio dedicated to producing stories grounded in faith.

Templar: The Last Remnant is his first novel, adapted directly from his Sci-Fi Fantasy screenplay. Rene currently lives in Central Texas with his beautiful wife and adventurous son
